Freddy is studying Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. He is originally from McAllen, a Texas border town, and has been interested in coding for a long time.
“I love computer science and have been programming for years; it’s been a passion of mine since my physics teacher in high school taught us some python,” Freddy said. “When I’m not studying or programming, I’m probably playing basketball or soccer!"
Growing up, Freddy would spend much of his time babysitting his nieces and nephews. It was while watching them that he developed a passion for teaching and helping children.
“We had a big family with a a lot of little ones so we were always helping when we can ” Freddy said. “It was always so fun. With kids, there's never a dull moment.”
Freddy said he looks forward to joining the Launch team, helping to provide an amazing opportunity for kids to develop and learn new skills in positive learning environment.
“Our students learn to use a logical thought processes and structured form of thinking. I wish I had then I was younger.” Freddy said. “I’m more than excited to be teaching at Launch.”
